CATARACT SUPPORT

Cataract Support

Help people affected by cataracts access screening, assessment, and related treatment support.

How you can help

THE NEED

A practical challenge.

Cataracts can affect independence and daily life. Access to assessment and appropriate care matters for people whose vision has been impaired.

ZWAB's support may include community mobilization, eye screening, specialist assessment, surgery, transportation, accommodation where needed, and follow-up.

What the work may include.

  • Community mobilization and eye screening
  • Specialist assessment and surgery where clinically appropriate
  • Transportation, accommodation, or follow-up where included in a confirmed plan

The intended goal is to support sight, independence, and quality of life where treatment is appropriate; an individual outcome is not guaranteed.
